jQuery scrollView : Viewport scroll and screen vertical helper

Visual helper while scrolling web page. Draw an indicator providing user with infos on the current viewport while scrolling. “One view for each screen that user need to scroll to get to the bottom of the HTML view” User can also click to directly go to the corresponding screen in the viewport.
It include :
- $.scrollToMe();
- $.scrollScreen();
- + Find scrollElement
- + getHash() || setHash(), …
Nb : It seem to have a bug on Firefox 21, with right fixed positioning of “.scrollScreen” even if the plugin don’t touch this properties. In the end, plugin manipulate the left to emulate right:0; …

#jQuery colonize, traverse DOM tree to find paragraphs next to each chapter, extract them and wrap them within a DIV.
Theses DIVs allow the control of multicols configuration via #CSS3.
The plugin take care to vertically split colums if it’s total height exceed viewport height. We can also include or exclude some TAGs of the selection…
The configuration can be with CSS colWidth or CSS colCount.

FWIW, we were much happier with Chromium Embedded [1] than Awesomium. Awesomium is not free for non-commercial use (something like $8,000+ if you wanted source code included, the price of the software isn’t even listed on the site now), the support was terrible, and the product seemed to be not nearly as fleshed out at Chromium Embedded. The website is prettier though… We switched to using Chromium Embedded 6-8 months ago and haven’t regretted it a bit.

L’Internet des objets est DANGEREUX. Vint Cerf, l’évangéliste de l’Internet en chef chez Google – et l’un des coconcepteurs du TCP/IP – a profité de la conférence sur la sécurité RSA 2013 pour plaider contre une ouverture aux quatre vents de ces nouveaux objets du quotidien connectés à l’Internet. The Register rapporte que Vint Cerf s’est dit “sincèrement étonné” du nombre d’appareils dotés d’une connexion à Internet. Mais ce qui l’inquiète plus, c’est l’absence de systèmes d’authentification efficaces sur le réseau….

Vimeo Looks : un éditeur de vidéos pour Vimeo
Vimeo est très en forme en ce moment et le service a déployé pas mal de nouveautés ces derniers temps. On pensera notamment au service de location de vidéos lancé en fin d’année dernière au même au système de classification lancé en janvier, sans oublier bien évidemment le rachat d’Echogram au début du mois. Oui, Vimeo est très en forme et le service le prouve une nouvelle fois en lançant une toute nouvelle fonctionnalité nommée… Vimeo Looks. Une fonctionnalité qui, comme son nom ne l’indique pas forcément, va tout simplement vous permettre d’éditer vos vidéos en ligne

Ubuntu Touch est disponible depuis quelques semaines sur le Nexus 4, sur la Nexus 7 et sur la Nexus 10 et il sera très prochainement possible d’en profiter sur bien d’autres terminaux. Tout ça grâce au travers de la communauté qui s’est fédérée autour de la plateforme mobile de Canonical. Chouette, mais le meilleur reste à venir puisque Ubuntu for Phones et Ubuntu for Tablets seront prochainement disponibles sur la Transformer Infinity, sur la Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, sur le HTC Desire, sur le Nexus One, sur le Galaxy Note, sur le Galaxy Note 2 et sur plusieurs autres dispositifs
